Grand Haven– The annual Cost Guard Festival will be taking place in downtown Grand Haven, dubbed “Cost Guard City U.S.A”, July 25th– August 3rd. This festival will include attendance of over 350,000 to honor the men and women of the U.S. Coast Guard. One major highlight is the arriving of the Coast Guard ships. This year’s ships include USCGC Hollyhock, USCGC Bristol Bay, R/V Laurentian, and USCGC Biscayne Bay. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet ship personnel and enjoy free tours. Other events include a carnival, an art fair, parades, a car show, street dancing, fireworks, and more.






Kalamazoo– The 29th annual “Taste & Brew Kalamazoo” will be back in the Arcadia Creek Festival Place this Thursday through Saturday. Come enjoy food from over thirty restaurants, favorite local beers, and also three nights of live music. Ticket prices vary on entry time; children 12 and under are free.



Creating a family friendly atmosphere, the Kalamazoo Growlers baseball players will be in a dunk tank Saturday from 1pm-3pm. And don’t forget about the annual duck race on Saturday from 12:30-2:30! Tickets are $5 each and participants have the chance to be awarded up to 25 different prizes. All proceeds benefit the “Journeys” children’s grief and loss program. Other events include clowns, balloons, henna, and a juggler.
