Bruce R. Sanders is responsible for the development of new business as well as implementing and integrating the delivery of value-added services and solutions to clients. He provides timely, front-line support and assistance in the development, coordination, and implementation of cost-effective insurance and risk management programs for business and industry. He has 29 years of commercial account experience and specializes in providing innovative solutions to privately held businesses of all types and sizes.
Mr. Sanders has thirty (32) years of insurance industry experience.
Bruce came to Allied from the Ralph C. Wilson Agency. Prior to that, he spent many years at Bosquett & Co., one of the City of Detroit’s oldest independent insurance agencies. Before that he worked in the Insurance Services Practice at Alexander & Alexander (now AON) designing, implementing, and servicing business insurance programs for his clients and prospects. Prior to becoming an insurance agent in 1983, he spent five years at the insurance company level first, as a Claim Representative with Aetna Casualty & Surety Co. where he began his insurance career in 1978, and then with Continental Casualty Co. (now CNA) as a Sales Representative in the Detroit Branch.
Bruce received his Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) Degree from Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, MI in December 1977. After passing a series of national examinations, Bruce became a member of the prestigious Society of Certified Insurance Counselors in 1989. In addition to being a multiple lines Resident Insurance Agent, he’s also a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and a Licensed Insurance Counselor (LIC). He’s currently enrolled in the Certified Risk Managers (CRM) program & has successfully passed four out of the five required national exams. He hopes to complete this in 2012.
Bruce, a twin, resides in Livonia, MI with his wife. He is active in the community donating his time to Livonia’s CROP Walk Team as well as supporting the Red Cross. He is a volunteer and delegate of Michigan’s Presbyterian Disaster Assistance Team helping to restore the storm-damaged homes along the Gulf Coast. He also volunteers with Habitat of Detroit. He enjoys bicycling and golf as well as genealogy and early American history.
